Further details and clarifications on Press Release dated 1st September 2025 titled ‘Ashok Leyland to Invest in the Battery Ecosystem for a Sustainable India’

Given the immense interest in our media statement dated 1st September 2025, we would like to give additional information for further clarity:

1. There is no investment envisaged from CALB

2. The investment quoted is phased up to the next 10 years

3. The intention is to start with battery packs with production in 2027

4. Location of battery pack manufacturing in India is yet to be finalized; talks ongoing with different State Governments

5. The scope of relationship with CALB is import of cells. The subsequent actions will be finalized as we progress.
