Ashok Leyland launches the ‘DOST+’ with 2.75 Ton GVW to address the upper end of the SCV Segment
With more cases of dengue being admitted in government hospitals across several parts of Tamil Nadu, this initiative will help educate the community at large. Sharing his views on the drive, Dr Godwin Erastus, Chief medical officer, Ashok Leyland, Hosur Plant-2, said, “At Ashok Leyland, we believe that ‘prevention is better than cure’. As a part of our ongoing initiative of organising medical camps, we wish to support Tamil Nadu Government’s efforts in spreading the awareness of Dengue fever; ensure surveillance and investigation of all epidemics in and around Hosur. Kodagarai village, 30 km from Denkanikottai, is the 1st village to receive such facility. An exhaustive medical team has been deployed at the village for screening anyone reporting to the camp for dengue symptoms and providing free medicines. A set of volunteers from Ashok Leyland plant has also stepped out on the streets of Kodagarai village in spreading awareness and strong prevention messages about dengue fever.”
Around 150 people from 3 villages in and around Kodagarai will benefit out of this one day ‘Dengue fever awareness drive’. Apart from this drive, the CSR team has also shared the Dengue fever awareness pamphlets/posters with all the visitors to the plant. Ashok Leyland is leading this campaign as a part of their social responsibility to benefit the communities around their Hosur plant.
